That's us at our wedding seven years ago, flanked by us in our studio this year. Our entire time as a husband and wife we have lived in Yuma, the city we love. We enjoy reading the Bible, spending time with our five children, shopping at thrift stores, and taking photographs. David and I are excited to meet, serve, and photograph you!
David is from Los Angeles, but has been in Yuma for nine years and doesn’t plan on leaving. He was a graphic designer, but is now an aviation mechanic. He is very attentive to detail and is up to date on the latest photography technology. He has received much instruction from his brother, who is a photographer in Hollywood.
I am a proud Yuman. I left this area for only four years to attend Harvard. I had to take several types of classes to receive my Bachelor’s of Arts degree, but my favorite classes by far were my fine art classes, both painting and photography. I started taking photography classes eighteen years ago and continue to learn from top photographers from across the country.
Our goal as your photographers is to capture joyous moments and transform them into beautiful artwork.
About Us
What to Expect
Photography is one of the best investments you can make, capturing a moment in time that can be treasured for years to come. Both David and I no longer have our fathers on Earth; the photographs we have of them are some of our most treasured possessions because they bring back joyous times that we can share with our children.
David and I want to create beautiful images for you and your loved ones to enjoy for generations. We love seeing printed images on your wall and in beautiful heirloom albums. Printed images allow you to see, feel, and enjoy your photos every day. We have carefully selected print products that will stand the test of time and showcase your beautiful family memories.
Our session fees start at $149 and include design session, photo session, editing, reveal session, and art installation; all five of these are described in the section above. Print and digital images are available for you to purchase at your reveal session, where we will “ooh and aww” over the beauty and joy in your photographs. There is a minimum purchase of $249 required post-session.
Your session fee is due upon booking and secures your spot. Planning something outside the Yuma area? No problem, we love to travel! Contact us for a detailed quote.
Investment
David and I look forward to serving you and capturing joyous moments of you! David will be assisting in some photo shoots, as well as delivering (and if you’d like, installing) your artwork. Everything else will be done by, me, Luz.
Design session
During your initial contact with me, I will set up your design session. During the design session, we will discuss what you are hoping to get out of your session, location, clothing, any must haves, and concerns. While designing the session, we will get to know each other , which will likely help you feel more comfortable during the photo session. We will also discuss what types of products you are interested in, be it wall art, prints, albums, or gifts. I will show you examples of all those things in different sizes.
During this session, we will go over our agreement, and if we haven't already, we will officially book your photo shoot! Your photo session cost will be due at this time to secure your date.
Photo Session
We will meet at the agreed upon location. Be ready to have fun and make memories! You (and your family) can relax and enjoy the time I have planned for you. Please, make sure to arrive promptly, so you can get the most out of your session time.
Editing
I will carefully edit your photographs with your session style in mind. As outlined in our agreement, you can expect approximately 30 images (for an hour photo session) at your reveal session. You may not see all of the images we did at your session, as I will ONLY show you the best photographs at your reveal session (no blinking eyes, unintended frowns, etc). Do not worry about being overwhelmed with having to sort through dozens of photos. I did that for you so will have a very pleasant reveal session.
Reveal and Ordering Session
This is fun! Within 15 days of your photo session I will call you to schedule your reveal and ordering session. At this session, I will present you a slideshow of your photographs! We will smile a lot and maybe joyfully tear up! You will pick your favorites. This session is when you will be ordering your artwork! All decision makers must be present for this. I'm happy to come to your home to present the slideshow. You’re welcome to make it a party! Invite grandparents, or anyone else you think may be interested in making their own orders. Payment plans are offered.
Delivery
Your artwork will be ready for delivery within 2-4 weeks of full payment. Upon receiving your artwork, David and I will do a quality check and call you to let you know your artwork is ready for pick up. If you'd like, we will deliver your beautiful artwork to your home. If wall art has been ordered he will even hang it for you, at your request!
